Overview of our Cohorts
Alpha Cohort
1st Cohort is called Alpha. It covers Decimals, Place Value, Converting Decimals to Fractions and Ordering Fractions

Level 1 (Monday/Tuesday) would be considered appropriate for the typical 4th grader, but may also be appropriate for many who struggled with 4th grade math. It will include basic place value review and extension for ordering and comparing, up to hundred millions place. We will review addition and subtraction from the concrete, to the representational, to the abstract.

Level 2 (Wednesday/Thursday) involves growing more comfortable with decimals and fractions. We will review decimals to the thousandths place, and practice comparing, ordering, adding and subtracting decimals. Then we will convert decimals to percent and fractions and vice versa.
Week 1
Beta Cohort
2nd Cohort is called Beta. It covers Multiplication, Division and Fraction Operations

Level 1 (Monday/Tuesday) would be considered 4 grade math, but can be 3rd through 5th grade curriculum depending on State Standards. It will include 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication and division on up! If the dynamics of the group allow it, we will venture into long division, when dividing by a single digit divisor.....all of which is considered 4th grade!!

Level 2 (Wednesday/Thursday) involves basic fractions. Identifying, ordering, comparing, placing on number lines, then we will work on adding and subtracting fractions, with and without common denominators (requires comfortable knowledge of multiplication). If there is time we will do the same with decimals.
Week 2
We believe that every student can master math. Whether they fall in love with it or not, we give skills, instructions and strategies to make sure they they know how to approach and solve a problem . This gives students confidence in not only math but other problems that require critical thinking. We make kids better!

Boring Camps!
This series is our Elementary Math Facts Camp. Math doesn't have to be boring, but fun and engaging! This is the goal of this camp, to teach foundational concepts through games, songs and activities. These concepts build the foundation that students need to be prepared for the higher level math, such as Prealgebra and Advance Placement Math.
