Summer Prep Program

Want to be ahead when school starts, this is opportunity knocking.

What is the Summer Prep Program?

It is a summer program designed for students to use the summer to their advantage. Instead of regressing during the summer, students have an opportunity to strengthen their weak areas in the current math course and get ahead in the next class for the fall.

It has worked wonders for parents and they look forward to it each year... sometimes we tutor ourselves out of a job.

What prep classes are available?

Prealgebra

Build a strong foundation in math by mastering number sense, operations, fractions, and basic equations. Perfect for middle schoolers preparing for Algebra I.

Algebra II/Trig

Go deeper into functions, quadratic equations, polynomials, and exponential growth. Algebra II is key to success in upper-level math and standardized tests.

Algebra I

Learn to solve equations, graph linear functions, and understand real-world problem solving through variables, expressions, and inequalities.

AP Precalculus (AB & BC)

This new AP course prepares students for college-level calculus with a focus on modeling, trigonometry, and the behavior of functions—ideal for motivated learners.

Geometry

Explore shapes, angles, proofs, and the logic behind spatial reasoning. Geometry strengthens deductive thinking and lays the groundwork for higher math.

AP Calculus (AB & BC)

Master limits, derivatives, integrals, and real-world applications in one of the most rigorous high school courses. We support both AB and BC levels with a focus on clear understanding and exam success.

Who is it for?

Students who want to hit the ground running in the fall. Whether you're catching up, keeping up, or getting ahead—this program is built for YOU.

The program will start with a Pretest covering previous course concepts. From that test, we will develop a curriculum/plan to cover during the program. The goal is to start content of the upcoming class before fall but depends on the Pretest and how student progresses
through curriculum

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do FAQs matter?
FAQs are a great way to help site visitors find quick answers to common questions about your business and create a better navigation experience.
  • What is an FAQ section?
An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about your business like "Where do you ship to?", "What are your opening hours?", or "How can I book a service?".
  • Where can I add my FAQs?
FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
  • Who are the tutors?
Our tutors are experienced math educators who specialize in working with middle and high school students. They're not only math-savvy—they know how to connect, motivate, and explain concepts clearly. They all have at least 2 years in college and are in STEM majors. Some have doctoral degrees or are working on them.
  • How do we get started?
Easy! Just click the button at the bottom that says I'm ready and we’ll reach out to you for more details. We match your child with the right tutor and schedule and you will be off an running.
  • What if we go on vacation or miss a week?
No problem! We build flexibility into our schedule and can adjust around your summer plans with advance notice.
  • How is the summer program structured?
Each student receives a personalized plan. We typically meet 1–2 times per week, depending on the student's needs and availability.
  • Is there homework between sessions?
We typically give light, targeted practice to reinforce what was covered. It’s never busy work—just enough to keep skills sharp. That is actually where most of the progress is made. We give a minimum and the student can do as much as they like.
  • Is this program for review or for previewing next year’s material?
Both! We can reinforce what your child struggled with last year and/or preview upcoming topics so they feel confident from day one. We’ll work with you to create the right balance.
  • How do you track my child’s progress?
We provide regular updates and can check in with you every few sessions. You’ll know exactly what we’re working on and how your child is doing. We will update you after every session and we will give you access to the student's progress reports.
  • Do you offer a fixed schedule, a package of sessions, or pay-as-you-go?
Yes! One of the benefits of Just Math is flexible payments. You can pay for the entire summer package, you can pay monthly or weekly. Also your sessions won't expire. So if you don't use them all by August 15 they will carry over into the school year. But if your new subject has a different price, the new price will start once the summer sessions are used.
